The only disadvantage of the Showa gloves is that if you are dealing with very prickly pants or thorns the gloves can get punctured and they are not then water proof. I do not like the feel of many gardening gloves especially the heavy cloth variety. I find that the Showa gloves are light to wear and half the time I forget I’ve even got them on.
